Growing fast, and it shows in the ground
Fountain Inn has been one of the fastest-growing towns in the Upstate, and a lot of what we do here is on properties that are only a few years old. New construction leaves a specific set of problems: subsoil compacted by machinery, a thin skin of topsoil over it, and grading done to get water off the building rather than to make the yard work.
The first couple of years are when that is cheapest to fix. Once the landscape is in and the turf has been fighting the soil for three summers, the same work costs considerably more.

Newer subdivisions, older town centre
There are really two Fountain Inns from a landscape point of view. The subdivisions want soil correction, drainage and turf establishment done properly. The older properties around the town centre have mature trees, established beds and the overgrown foundation plantings that come with fifty-year-old landscaping. That is replacement and replanting work.

A lot of Fountain Inn neighbourhoods are new enough that the HOA is still establishing what the common areas should look like. Entrances, islands and amenity areas on a proper year-round schedule set that standard early, and it is far easier than trying to recover a property that has been let go for two seasons.
