New neighbourhoods, brand new yards
Powdersville has grown very quickly, and a large share of the housing here is recent. That means a lot of properties are at exactly the stage where landscape decisions matter most. The builder put down whatever turf was cheapest, the grade was set for drainage off the house rather than for the yard, and the beds are three shrubs and a strip of mulch.
Everything is easier and cheaper to correct now than in five years, once the turf has failed twice and the beds are overgrown.
Areas we cover

Builder-grade turf and what to do about it
The single most common Powdersville job is a young lawn that will not thicken. It is almost never a fertiliser problem. It is that the topsoil layer is thin, the subsoil underneath was compacted by machinery, and roots cannot get down into it, so the turf dries out in the first hot spell every year.
Fixing it properly means soil work and often re-establishing the turf, not another season of treatments. If water also stands anywhere, drainage comes first.
What we do in Powdersville
The back yard is usually still empty
New builds tend to arrive with a front yard and a blank back. That is an opportunity rather than a problem: a paver patio, planting and lighting designed together from scratch will always work better than three separate projects bolted on over a decade.
