Brush removal, site preparation and both rough and final grading. The groundwork that has to be right before anything else gets built on it.

Nothing above ground survives bad ground

Grading is the least visible work we do and the most consequential. A patio on a poorly prepared base moves. Sod on an uncorrected grade sits in water. A shed, a fence line or a driveway on ground that was never compacted properly tells you about it a year later.

It is also the work that is genuinely hard to undo. Fixing a grade after the hardscape and the turf are in means taking them back out first.

What we do

  • Brush and undergrowth removal: reclaiming the parts of a property that have gone wild.
  • Lot clearing for building sites, shops, sheds, pools and outbuildings.
  • Small tree and stump work as part of a clearing job.
  • Rough grading: getting a site to shape and moving material where it needs to be.
  • Final grading: the fine pass before sod, seed or hardscape goes down.
  • Slope correction, so water runs away from structures rather than toward them.

One crew from clearing to finished

A clearing job and the work that follows it are the same crew. The people who set your grade are the people laying the sod or building the patio on top of it, so nobody is inheriting somebody else’s mistake.

It also means the grade gets set for whatever is going on top of it. A base for a patio, a fall away from a foundation and a slope that has to hold new sod are three different finishes, and knowing which one is coming changes how the ground gets left.

Grade and water are the same conversation

Most grading calls we get are really drainage calls. Water pooling against a foundation, a yard that will not dry out, a slope washing out every storm. Those get solved with a combination of regrading and drainage, and deciding which does the heavy lifting is the job.

What happens to the debris

It leaves. Brush, stumps and spoil are hauled off as part of the work rather than pushed into a pile at the back of the property for you to look at, which is a genuinely common way these jobs get finished cheaply.

Where we clear and grade

Clearing and grading is the kind of larger project we travel well outside the weekly service area for, including Travelers Rest, Powdersville, Spartanburg, Easley, Clemson and Anderson. If the job is big enough to be worth the drive, the distance is not the problem.
